Marysville Community Food Bank ...feeding the hungry in the community since 1974!

It is with mixed feelings I announce that February 16^th will be my last day as director here at Marysville Community Food Bank.  Northwest Harvest has offered me a job as Partner Program Manager.  I have accepted the position and will start on February 17th.  I look forward to continuing on a career track and discovering all the plans God has for me.  However, I love the food bank and will deeply miss the volunteers and the clients.  I am glad my new job will still keep me in contact with the food bank.  

It is my sincere wish that you all maintain your current relationship with the food bank.  I feel blessed that God has let me guide the food bank through many changes in a short period of time.  I know the growth the food bank has had is from above, not from me.  “⁷So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” (1 Corinthians 3:7)  Each of you has played a unique role in making the food bank what it is today, and I thank you.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with each of you, even in the challenges of raising funds, moving, and instituting new distribution procedures.  I appreciate all the support you have provided in my 2+ years at the food bank.  You are a tremendously talented and dedicated group of volunteers.
