Marysville Community Food Bank ...feeding the hungry in the community since 1974!

I am honored to become part of the MCFB community.  From the moment I first walked in the door, during a Tuesday distribution day, I felt the magic of this organization.  The volunteers enthusiastically served the clients who departed the facility with much needed groceries to feed their families.  All this happening in an atmosphere bubbling with energy and full of care to serve one another.

It is very evident that there are strong community forces that merge together to create this vital service.  The dedicated volunteer staff, the supportive service clubs, gracious local businesses, and the power of the people of Marysville make it happen.

The Board of Directors and I wish to extend a thank you to the previous director, Joyce Zeigen, for her contribution to bring the Food Bank to the level that it now operates.  Also, a big thank you goes out to JoAnn Sewell and Mary Haynes for picking up the ball and keeping the food flowing during the transition of directors.  And finally, there would be nothing if it weren’t for all the volunteers that give their hearts and souls to keep this organization together and functioning.

I look forward to working as a team member with the volunteers, the board of directors, and the community to continue to provide this important service to our neighbors in need and to provide it with honor and dignity.
